Cannon Texas Open

is being hosted this year by the Dr Pepper Star Center in Euless. You can check the hosting team out for yourself at their Benefit show on Saturday, August 22nd. It benefits Our Father's Children, Inc that reaches out to the abused and neglected children of North Central Texas. Not only is it a heart-tugging charity to support, but you might even get a glimpse at some Olympic hopefuls! I know I am taking my big eyed girls to watch! Here are the incredible (and even some young and upcoming) athletes on the hosting team.

Instructors turn!!

You may recall the 5 blogs of the United groups (back in the May category). If not, check them out...we are all proud of them! But, here we have a few of the instructor's children that finally got their photo shoot! First up is Sydney! She had fun with it all and even brought her little sister who is already taking tumbling up at United (they start them at 18mos, it's awesome!) .

And, second is Zoe! Zoe is a super star in my eyes! She had 6 costumes (couldn't show them all here) and danced in 9 of the recital numbers. Yes, I know you are wondering...is that possible? haha She competes, dazzles, entertains and most importantly has fun! I loved her standing split...yes, she stands on one leg, holds the other leg straight up and continues to smile! I couldn't blog it because it doesn't do justice to show it on such a small scale. But, trust me, I got the shot! :)

LOVE this family...

And, I do mean family! These beautiful kids belong to my cousin, the closest thing to a sister I have. My mom is one of six kids, four of which are girls. The four daughters had only one daughter each (and boys mixed in), so us 4 girl cousins have always been tight. (There eventually were three more girls thrown into the mix of 21 grandkids and we are building to the 28 great's annually...haha)

So, you can imagine how thrilled I was to FINALLY get our schedules together where we could do this long awaited shoot! I am so proud of these kids, they are fun, well behaved and I am honored to be able to see them grow into the people they are becoming. They are a mixture of organized, artsy, brainy, bossy, funny, dramatic, loving, and goofy! And, I can't help but mention that I am glad my cousin has a 'crazy' one like Lily too! Love you all so much! I had a fantastic time laughing with you! and btw..there are TONS more pictures where these came from!

Happy Daddy's Day!

I am blessed. More so, my girls are blessed. This isn't a blog on how perfect my husband is on Father's Day and that he's the best thing ever, etc!! No, this has nothing to do with me directly. This is a blog about a man who stops and genuinely listens to each word my girls say. A man who watches their dances and laughs a hysterical belly laugh right along with them. A man that gets sick to his stomach before each birthday they have, because he doesn't want to let go of the year that just escaped him. This is a man who wishes he could have many more babies because they bring such joy to his life. This is a blog about a hero to my three girls...so indirectly, yes...he is my hero and I am blessed.

Hug your dads, hold tight to your memories of your dads, be a dad of unconditional love or a supportive wife to a dad. Whatever role a dad plays in your life, celebrate today! Happy Father's Day!

Happy Birthday, PurnaMaya!

Those of you that know her, know that she has a giving heart and adores my girls. Those of you that haven't had the opportunity to meet Purna, well here she is! Purna has been our sole childcare provider (au pair from Nepal) since the girls were three, one and a half and six months. During Lily's pregnancy we knew we needed a nanny of some sort to help when I traveled for my production gigs. I used to travel a lot more, so it was extremely important for us to have consistency in our girls' lives, so a live in nanny was the perfect solution. Purna has brought so much more to the table than that! She keeps the schedule I lay out, is a playmate to the girls, and a cheerleader for their big accomplishments in their little lives.

We went out back to the golf course for her very own photo shoot when my girls were at Camp Nana the first weekend of Summer. It isn't very often you see Purna without a ponytail. :) Here are a few of them to share with her friends and family all the way over in Nepal, Denmark, Japan, NYC...you name it!

Happy Birthday, Purna! You are very special to all of us.

Mr and Mrs C

It's official! By the time this post is public, I will be addressing this couple as 'Mr and Mrs C'! I was out with some girlfriends and Mrs C mentioned some last minute pics for a reception idea she had and I said, yippee, I have the perfect spot! (I had no idea we would finish SECONDS before tornado's circled the dfw area). This was a special shoot because Mr C is one of my husband and my Irving friends from 'back in the day'! George and I are so happy for you both! And it was an honor that you trusted me to capture this moment in time for you. May God bless your marriage on this memorable day and every day following.

Birthday Boy!

I got to spend an hour with little C on his birthday! It isn't often that I do a milestone shoot on the actual birthday, even parties. So, there was a bit of magic in the air this time! C had no problem warming up to me, this being the first time we had met. He's three, you know...a little man with big man ideas! He is infatuated with tractors, so we planned the location around his interests. I am so excited about how they all turned out and I wish I could have blogged a lot more! Here's to you...little man!
