A tisket, a tasket, a baby in a basket....

...or so we thought. Three months old and all Cooper wanted to do was sit up. No, really!! He can't sit up on his own, but he wanted to be propped up where he thought he was in control. Mom and Dad, good luck later! (haha)

We also had ideas of a sweet baby on his tummy, hanging out over the basket. Cooper had a different idea. He wanted to skip a tummy picture of a sweet baby hanging over the basket. No way...he wanted to push up and probably would have toppled his way to the weeds if we would have let him. You can see at the end, we finally wore him out. See you for his 6 months pictures...knowing Cooper, he will be standing up by then!

A story to tell...

I couldn't wait to shoot the M family! I went to high school with both parents and lost touch with them until just recently (thanks to facebook!). They were just friends in school, both genuinely wonderful individuals. So, when I discovered awhile back that they were married to each other....I thought, "how perfect!" I was so excited to reconnect with them and meet their boys. It was also an absolute honor when they asked me to take their photos.

I know you will cherish these pictures for years. It makes me happy to know that I could capture a moment in time for you. Thank you both! (and thank you again for lunch....catching up was great!)

Almost family....

This beautifully coordinated family of four children belongs to my sister in law. No, they are not her kids...but her brother's. So...they are 'almost family' to me, right? haha The parents of these four were so relaxed and had an 'anything goes' attitude during the shoot. Their busy child is the third one, Lily's age (my busy one). Dawn, do you think maybe something was in the water when we were prego?

I had fun walking around with you guys while we invented ways of keeping Q interested! Funny....there is a calmness to the pictures, especially the one of the 4 of them all together! LOL

Thanks for trusting me again to capture this precious time in your lives!

Sweet Sisters!!

These two little girls are so sweet to one another, but also to others. I am good friends with their mommy and they attend St Vincent's preschool with my girls. Julia will be starting pre-k with Molly this fall and I personally couldn't be happier. Julia is the most nurturing 4 year old I know...so loving and protective of her sister. She has a giving heart, a beautiful gift to already posses at such a young age. Little Emma is my Lily's age and always laughing and exploring! Her spirit is captivating and was so fun for me to freeze through the lens! Cheryl, I love so many of the pictures, but could only choose a small handful for the blog. Enjoy your sneak peek at your angels!

So much in common....

My Molly calls Clare her 'best friend'. (Granted, she refers to anyone she is playing with at the time, her best friend.) However, when she speaks of Clare to others, the title still sticks. Clare is her first neighborhood friend. They run to each other, hug tight, twirl around, jump up and down and giggle when they first meet for a playdate. They will both be attending Holy Rosary for the years to come. They are both big sisters too! Just take a look at Clare and her baby sister! I love these girls (and their mom isn't too bad herself!) Oh Amy...these are just a few for now!

Happy 1st Birthday!

Yea!!!! She is ONE! :) Little K's mommy is one of my oldest friends, so it was an honor when Kristi asked me to capture K's party memories. I have been editing photos from the photo shoot and the party that followed and have SO many cute ones of her and all of her guests. Here is a sneak at little K and just SOME of her adorable friends!!

Picture Perfect

What does that phrase mean to you? To me...it is this family. Not the outfits or the location, nor the family of four split between genders. It is also not that they are friends of ours and that our children are in the same classes and playmates themselves. It is, however, the relationship between all four of them. It's the love between the parents and the constant laughter and silent language between the children. After witnessing this, I look back at the pictures and realize, to me...they are picture perfect. I pride myself in finding each personality in an individual that I photograph. Here, I did it! Picture Perfect! (heads up...you think this a lot...wait until your personal gallery is open). This was tough to choose just 10! Happy Easter my dear friends!

This girl has got it all....

...a new puppy's friendship...the unconditional love from her mommy...and yes, some fantastic shoes to fill! This was my first meeting with little K and I have no doubt she will fill those shoes just fine! I look forward to watching her and 'Sassy' grow over the years. Thank you for allowing me to capture these moments for you. It was a pleasure!
