Despite the weather...

We made it work! My friend, Melissa, booked me over a month ago to shoot her girls when she was in town for the weekend. The weather tried messing with our plans, but we stood our ground (and went indoors)! :) Let me introduce you to two of the sweetest girls I have had the pleasure of photographing. Sweet...but busy!!! They never stopped moving, however they did it with a smile and a 'catch me if you can' attitude while laughing with eachother! It was a blast to witness, as it reminded me of my girls when they play together. I should probably tell you that their mommy also had that same disposition. The weather turned on us, we postponed the shoot by one day and then the youngest one wanted to dance rather than sit that next day...mom just smiled and trusted me to do my job. Melissa, thank you for that!

Here is a glimpse of your daughters in a few still moments!

Three's a charm....

..as they say! Our charms are Molly, Emma and Lily. We are blessed with three unique and individual girls who all share blue eyes like their Daddy. (Poor Mommy here actually thought green eyes were cool at one time!)

This past weekend, I took Molly and Emma out for some practice pictures. I am shooting the girl's dance studio's pictures next month and wanted some practice shots. We are going for something different than the usual black backdrop. I want to capture each child's individuality.

Before I show you the dance pictures, there are some from Lily's 2 year shoot, also from last Sunday, for you to see. I am having a hard time adjusting to my baby being two. I do love this age! Lily keeps me laughing and on my toes. But, in growing up so fast, she is unknowingly teaching me to SLOW down and enjoy all three of my girls just the way they are..not wishing they were younger, not waiting until they are old enough to do something. But, just to enjoy them RIGHT NOW. So I will. Here is Lily at 2, Emma at 3 and Molly at 4(and 1/2). Warning..there are a lot!

A visit from LA

A new client, but an old friend came to town this week! Lucky me, she is tired of those 'beautiful beach pictures' she normally does on the west coast! Or, lucky me...her mom lives here. LOL Which one do you believe?

Kristen and I have worked together as Stage Managers in the corporate events side of my life for years, way before we both even had kiddos. So, this was fun for me to work for Kristen instead of working together backstage. I met her brother and his wonderful wife and their two girls also! Enjoy the pictures...the first brother and sister duo are my Cali kids. The two sisters that look like baby dolls are the Texans of the group! Thanks so much for the fun! Kristen, the Tea House was a yummy treat...thank you!!

You might think this is a lot for a sneak peek...oh moms, just wait for the gallery to open! You have a lot more to see! :)

As you can see...we made time for breaks...

...and the rest was OH so much fun!

Sweet Baby James

Out of all of the newborns I have had the privilege of photographing, this is by far the happiest one of all! He had some great smiles for me, and even one laugh. No kidding, check out this 7 day old for yourself! And we can't forget his proud big sister at the fun age of 3! Thank you for allowing me to capture these priceless moments for you. He was such an easy baby to shoot. He truly is sweet baby James!

There are so many things to love about this next shot. His full belly, his turned foot, his hand on his knee, his grin...I could keep going! This is by far one of my favorite pictures.

Told you I got a laugh...and there are about 4 more shots of him smiling in different positions! Happy, happy baby! Did I mention he was 7 days old?

Alone at last!

You may recall this birthday girl with her FOUR brothers from last fall! Well, now it is her time! She is turning six years old soon and what better way then to have your own photo shoot without the boys! There are tons of her smiling and laughing, mom...these are just a few of my favorites! (I personally love the b/w non smiling ones here) Oh..and when you scroll down, notice the love between a frog and a girl! You never outgrow your first 'stuffed' love!

Determined...

Don't let the calmness in the pictures fool you..it was a COLD day! We talked about re doing the session, but this senior and her mom were both troopers and were ready to get it done! Meredith was awesome...no complaints (even in her tiny black dress with the wind whipping by) and such great manners! I pray my girls will be this polite and easygoing when they are teenagers. I know you are both anxious for this preview...so enjoy! I had a fun time with you both!
